A recording of tadpoles in my pond in manchester uk. You can hear them scraping against the hydrophone hoping to find algae. The tadpoles were very quiet and hence the recording is a bit hissy.

This is an underwater ambient loop i created for a game-jam project. Since the project was nothing but good fun, i have uploaded some of the more useful sounds to freesound. Org for everyone to use. The sound was created by layering hydrophone recordings with filtered noise.

I have recorded a sound made by crumpling a paper. Then i have recorded the noise made by scratching a streaked lid with a spoon. Then i have generated a pluck ( pitch 100), repeated it till the end, and added a “wahwha effect”. I used audacity.

The sound of southampton water at around 5am on a bank holiday monday (national holiday). The microphone was placed right at the shoreline where the water meets the land. There are distant boats/ships, the oil refinery and a few sea birds. The wind was about 2 to 4 mph and that created some very small waves that can be heard lapping against the shore. Simulating the effect of creaking steel as a submarine goes beyond its comfort zones. No reverb.

An abstract sound created with bosca ceoil and audacity. The sound has been pitched shifted repeatedly. It is noise, but hopefully you'll find it to be a pleasant sort of noise. If memory serves, some forms of (non-audio) computer data can produce sounds like this if imported into an audio processor.
