Thunderstorm recorded in my back garden, evening late spring. Zoom h1.

There was a dry thunderstorm 10 km far away from the dictaphone this dawn (27th of may 2014). You can hear crickets and dogs barking in the distance as well. Recorded in nighttime by sony stereo dictaphone.

The recording starts with gentle rain and slow thunder rolling across the sky. The thunder is predominantly in the first half of the recording. The rain increases in intensity in the second half, peaking about three-quarters of the way through. Recorded on a sheltered, outdoor stairway, in a suburban location in south-eastern england, in august 2013; using a zoom h2n recorder set on mid-side stereo, at a 120 degree spread. The original recording was heavily edited, to remove traffic, trains, planes and parakeets(!). Some light, occasional, background traffic noise remains, however.

A very loud and rumbly thunderstorm rolled through jefferson city, mo. I set up my zoom h4n with the mics set to 120 degrees to record the storm. Less than a minute after i started recording, a lightning bolt hit just across the street. A lot of loud and rumbly thunder in this audio clip.

A typhoon thunderstorm recorded in a backyard of an apartment complex in xinyi district, taipei city, taiwan, in late august, 2022. Rain can be heard falling on grass, the glass roof over the recording area, and various roof materials in the area such as tin, brick, concrete, and clay tile. Occasionally, there is thunder. Recorded on a zoom h1n with a wind filter, at its 96k 24 bit option, mic sensitivity control wheel set to 6 (out of 10). Due to the length of the recording, this is part 2 of 2.

Recorded during the heatwave that the uk endured in 2022 this was a recording made from the garden on august 25th. The recording starts with gentle rain which slowly becomes heavier. Around 25 minutes the first distant rumble can be heard. From 30 minutes onwards. The soothing sounds of thunder and heavy rain. From an hour on the storm moves away and the rain eases.

I record this raining ambient sound using mobile phone. Hope it help you to create good films/movie.

This is a recording of a storm from the balcony of the living room in the province of rieti in italy on wednesday 8 september 2021, where various noises such as lightning, thunder, heavy rain, a bit of wind and even an ambulance and a bulldozer working in distance. 5 1/2 minute recording using zoom h6 recorder of a storm front that passed through cincinnati on 4/9/2020 (which included 4 smaller f0 tornadoes). Made up of 3 segments put together. First segment (0:00) is rain and hail, second segment (1:20) includes tornado warning siren going off with one very loud thunder just before it shuts down, final segment (4:40) is rain and wind.

Zoom h4n - onboard microphones. This recording was captured in the city of orange in orange county, california. This is located just below los angeles and less than a mile from disneyland in anaheim. This is an extremely clean recording of a sudden cloudburst that turned in to a torrential downpour on december 28, 2020. The peaks are all very close to 0db. I opened the sliding glass door to our balcony and placed my zoom h4n as close as possible to the rain without destroying the recorder. What resulted is an amazingly layered rain track. This is because rain can be heard striking multiple surfaces such as a tree, a metal table, the cement balcony, etc. . . There is not much thunder (that's rare in this area) but if you need a few dramatic thunder claps they can be found at the following times one the file is downloaded.
