I turned on my recorder just after watching a movie on valentines day. The theatre wasn't packed but people were relaxed. I stood in the lobby for a while watching people getting ready for the next movie, then walked outside through the squeaky doors of the theatre and stood around people having a smoke and waiting for their ride home. I then walked to my car. Panasonic stereo hand recorder, nothing fancy.

A small park in higashi-koenji, tokyo at dusk. There are some university aged kids drinking and smoking in the background. I wanted to record the fountain sound as well, but the fountain had already been turned off. You can hear some bird, rustling of the wind in the trees and traffic in the distance. Recorded with a pair of mics at 120 degrees.

Boomerang is a steel shuttle roller coaster located at bellewaerde in ypres, west flanders, flemish region, belgium. Although it wasn't the first vekoma boomerang to be built, it was the first to be opened due to technical issues with the other roller coaster. This spectacular roller coaster takes you to a height of 32 m, before launching you forward and backward, like a boomerang, at over 80 km/h. There is a lot of nonsense in this file. Some belgian teenagers are talking about their families, their teachers, to fall out of the coaster, banana, carrot. . . You can even hear some flemish words. Recorded inside the roller coaster with tascam dr-100mkii onboard microphones.

I left the recorder locked and unattended in the car whilst we went and did a bit of shopping. It was raining, breezy and the car was parked under a tree in a busy city centre car park next to a main road. You can hear cars passing at different speeds, the rain on the windscreen, doors opening and closing and muffled, distant voices. Zoom h1, internal mics, 50hz high pass at 6db/oct to reduce rumble.

The last train to brixton. A late night journey on the london underground from kings cross to green park, stopping at euston, warren street and oxford circus before arriving at green park. The recording starts before boarding the train, continues for the entire journey and finishes after getting off at green park. Various announcements can be heard throughout. Recorded on yamaha c24.

This sound was created using audacity. First of all i chose a frequency of 432 hz ( a number which includes the golden rule/proportion), then i created a gradual rise in the first 4 seconds, leading into a peak which descends so it can go up again, creating an effect of confusion. At the end, the sound raises gradually and rapidly to reach its peak once again. This sound recreates, for me, a fast- moving ufo (unidentified flying object) and includes the notion of conspiracy in our society- the changing of the frequency of the tone “la “ from 432 hz to 440 hz in 1953 by the nazis. La règle d’or- 432 hertz. Le ton « la » est une pointe centrale dans le réglage des instruments musicaux. Le ministre de la propagande en allemagne pendant l’époque des nazis a fait un décret général avec lequel il a changé la tonalité « la »de 432 hz en 440 hz. On utilise cette hauteur à partir de 1939 jusqu’à nos jours. Quand on écoute de la musique en 440 hz la première chose qu’on remarque c’est une fatigue, aucun envie de faire n’importe quoi et beaucoup d’autres ( y inclus le mouvement de notre adn) une étude récent montre que l’utilisation de 440 hz crée des mouvais effets dans la nature et dans toutes les êtres vivantes. Cette article m’a inspirée à recréer un son avec une fréquence de 432 hz qui monte et baisse graduellement. C’est un son seul de type complexe(nodal). Il est de type v( continu varié), il est éclatant,clair et lisse. L’attaque du début est graduelle et violente. Le son varie en « hauteur » de plus fort au moins fort et l’inverse, recréant un effet d’un ovni qui passe à côté de vous.
