The sabiá-laranjeira (turdus rufiventris) is a common bird in south america and the best known of all thrushes, identified by the color of rust on the belly and by its melodious song during the reproductive period and popularly considered national bird of brazil.

The sound of goats with bells on their neck grazing in trough the mountains of village studen kladenets in the kardzhali province in southern bulgaria. Also you can hear a cow with a wooden bell, some footsteps in the grass and birds. Recorded with zoom h-1.

Opening a sliding door to a lot of chatty morning birds. You can hear a some fire truck sirens far in the background. After a few minutes, door is closed, i let you hear the difference, and we’re done. Recorded with a tascam dr-05 at about 5 am. Converted to mp3 with command “lame --preset extreme” since it’s rather huge. Not normalized; lame reports a playback gain of +21 db.

These are two separate recordings with my yamaha pocketrak of a single robin and you can hear the other robin answering in the distance. Though i like to watch robins pull worms from the ground and love their song, they also have a bad habit of sitting on my truck mirrors and crapping on my truck doors. :^) please comment on what you may use it for. :^).

During shooting our movie in luhacovice town i recorded few usefull samples of mineral water sizzling from faucet.

During a recent wandering in one of the many woods around me i found this wonderful small creek which, even though small, had a nice flow to it thanks to some recent rain. As i sat down to record the soothing sound of the riffles, a group of chickadees decided to come check me out. Enjoy.

This is one of my favourite birds acrocephalus arundinaceus, this is latin name of this bird. It lives near the water, for example: lake, or river.

The soundscape at the bottom of the dried moat of arundel castle in late spring. There's a strong breeze running through the trees, crows calling, an aeroplane, a couple of flies buzz past. I was laying in the sunshine about 10 meters away, falling asleep :). Recorded @ 8khz with a griffin italk mic to a recently refurbished 20gb 3rd generation ipod - my favorite lo-fi field recording / interview rig. If you have a recording device on your person, you get a lot of stuff you'd otherwise miss altogether. This rig helps me get those things too ephemeral to capture with a stereo pair; sounds i would regret not having at all. I keep it on my belt 90% of the time. Just in case.
