Blood quickly escaping an open artery. (actually just me squeezing the hell out of a grapefruit). Begins with a steady spray, then ends in several loud spurts. More blood/gore fx coming soon-ish. Recorded in a studio with a sennheiser 416, very close proximity. < 1' away. Through an mbox directly into protools, edited to remove head/tail ambience. You might hear me breathing in there, very low.

Sound of a bullet hitting flesh.

Announcer shouts "first blood!" quake style. Version 2 with reverb.

A sound composed from bunching wet paper towels smacked against the floor and a wet bottle of liquid being sloshed mixed together to create an impact sound. Creates a horrible sensation of flesh impacted by a powerful shockwave. A bottle with liquid being sloshed around gently can provide the needed element of a subdued liquid sound - taking away the need to filter it with low pass filters (but it can help boost other frequencies).

Single subtle sound of guts being handled.

Some great screams of pain. A bit of distortion but the sound itself is awesome.

Built on a beat and bassline i did in garageband for something called victors crypt. I added some spooky piano-tones and more and sang the phrase "i know something you know, you are gonna die" in a childish manner. Could be usefull in something creepy. Blood gushing fall to concrete floor; created by pouring a water/corn syrup mixture onto my foley artist's arm over a concrete drain. Towards the end you can hear my foley artist start laughing because the mixture was splashing everywhere lol. . . Still a great clip and we used it in a horror slasher film to simulate blood gush from a stabbing.

This is a gore effects session done at the university of oregon cinema studies program. This is 100% raw with the instructor's voice and bad room tone (note, not recorded in a dead space). We will post edited files of the session soon.

Part of a pack of source recordings i created to use as part of the sound design for the ios/android game 'hipster zombies'. This is the sound of a toy skull type thing my girlfriend found, which has a lid you can open and then there's a gooey brain inside which makes awesome squelchy sounds.

This is my second blade effect. Let me know if it is any good. I think it sounds just a little bit better than my first one. I used a blood splatter, a shovel sound, a clothing rip, and my own swinging sound. Like always, no credit is necessary. Use it in any games or movies you make. I'll be seeing if i can use this too.
