Samples of the legendary boss dr-55. These are one-shot samples of the entire boss dr-55 drum machine. This is a vintage analog drum machine, and every recording of the circuit's output is unique. I created this sound using lmms and 2 instances of it's zynaddsubfx plugin and a kick using the kicker plugin and some ladspa effects. I tried to emulate the "inception braaam " sound the best i could. Hopefully someone can find this useful to use in their project.

First short set with my fingertip, second set with the side of my varnished tin starbucks coffee mug and the third set with the side of a standard 3/8" plastic sharpie marker. According to my synth, this is extremely close to, if not spot-on with a d-natural (294 hz).

Released in 1989, the ensoniq vfx synthesizer was ensoniq's early take on wavetables, called transwaves in ensoniqs' perlance. The machine was a digital six oscillator hybrid rompler and additive with several of the waveforms being wavetables. Modulation settings allowed you to scan thru the waveforms for evolving sounds such as this pad. The vfx-sd was much the same synthesizer, but added a sequencer.

Not gonna explain about this one much. Basicly i just made a simple patch on my virus c hardware synth which consists of 2 osc's (sine / saw), osc2 slightly detuned from the osc1. Fast pitch envelope on both osc's to get the "punch" part in the kick. Ran through virus's lowpass/bandpass filters, lowpass cutting from 100% to 0% with a speed of 1/4 beats to get a "filtering down" effect to the kick, bandpass rejecting slightly frequencies from a range of 400-600hz. Then i sampled it, many times and picked the best sample. Eq->distort->eq->distort million times and this is the result. Ofc i did some cutting and added some lowpass/bandpass filters with various mix levels @ some points and did some other shit also but basicly it's just eq & distort. Hf, its a decent kick but needs some fixing still since the punch is too separate from the bass.

Here it is! my first ever submission on freesound! i decided to start this all out with a bang, and post something really cool that i'm proud of making. I'm not sure exactly what this creature was supposed to be. I'll leave that up to your imaginations. How it was made:. Software: fl studio 20. Plugin(s): serum, valhallaroom, ott, fruity parametric eq 2, and fruity delay 2. This was made completely with synthesizers. I used serum for the main synth, made copies of it, and modified each of them to sound unique from the other. I'd try to explain how the synth was made, but there's a lot of stuff. To process it, i used ott to make it sound more powerful and clear, eq to get the frequencies and texture right, delay with a low pass filter to get that outdoors echo feel, and valhalla room for the reverb. Generated 10 minutes of white noise, applied some eq and what i may call stereo expansion, and got this thing that should be good enough to be used as an ambient sound for cold weather or polar wind. Many of the sounds i have found here and elsewhere, have other noises and/or were created through other methods like blowing.

I created this machine gun sound effect quite by accident. I was synthesizing a snare drum in fl_studio using multiple synth layers, effects and automation trying to create a really short and snappy snare and set the loop length really short by mistake and when i hit play to audition my sound i thought it resembled machine gun fire. So anyway enjoy and feel free to use it in your game or whatever way you want.
