Recorded in my backyard with rode ntg-3 / dead wombat on zoom h6 recorder. Starts off with one decent short clap of thunder, but mostly rolling low rumble thunder and some rain here and there. Some of the rain drop sounds are sharp off of metal, some is just lightly hitting the ground. Some nearby trees blowing add to some of the ambiance.

Rode nt4 -> maudio delta1010lt, capturing a lightning strike that made the walls of my house shake, and forced me to turn off my computer. The lightning occured ~167 meters away from the microphone, calculated from the time lapse between the initial dc spike and the start of audible strike. Clipped quite a bit, had the input slightly too high, but did not expect one to hit so close. A picture hanging on my wall shook violently when this one hit. A stereo wav recording from a zoom h1n during a thunderstorm today. One siren picks up followed by several more producing a convincing stereo image. I have done a basic bass roll-off, but have left it otherwise untouched. If you have a spectral editor you can probably clean out more of the noise, but i couldn't do so and keep the sirens sounding good.

Thunderstorm came nearby to the north part of pécel, hungary on 5th of sept 2012. It didn't produce rain onyl thunder. You can hear the loudest thunder - with the guinea-fowls from the neighbour. . .

Tornado siren in streamwood, il recorded during the monthly test. This version is heavily edited, with some filtering and compression applied, as most of the recording was distorted (i was too close to the siren!), although it should be useable with appropriate filtering to suit your purpose. The actual siren is located a short way north west of the geotag (it should be visible using google's satellite view). Recorded using a rode ntg2 into a zoom h4.
