The rumbling roar of an approaching freight train then the whistle and passing cars. Some good screeching from the metal. The train passes and fades. Recorded pretty close but with trees in between.

I went to an auction last week, and recorded some sounds with my zoom h4n. The auctioneer is fairly close, but not close enough that you don't get any echo. Several cars drive by. People yelling "yep!". Loopable.
Riding in building elevator during a trip to visit rrr in lowell. 0:18 - close mic elevator fan noise with weird ringing sound; 0:30 - drumming on elevator interior; 0:45ish - elevator doors opening and closing. 0:55 - "good day!".
