This was originally a friend's cat meowing but it has been processed heavily. First, it was put through a granulizer and the pitch was dropped -2 octaves. The sample was then panned l-r using automation, and bitcrushed. Lastly, to get a slight detuned feel, i added a chorus effect. This sample sounds even better with some convolution or hall reverb but i left this effect out since it's usually a effect users want total control over. The end result is a strange, alien sounding noise.

Steam hiss, guard's whistle clearing the driver to leave the platform, coal being shovelled into furnace, piston starts to move, speeds up, train whistle (brief), sound of the steam locomotive fades and carriage bogey noise. Explosion sound. The explosion sound was a mixture of a the initial explosion, the a wind sound that may be heard when there is an explosion and the rumble effect that would also be picked up on. I had to re sample all of these separate operator sounds and then put the audio track in a sampler the add some final touches. These included large hall reverb and utility for the large impact explosion and rumble sound as well as panning, reverb and delay for the wind sound to give it the effect of traveling around a surrounding area with the sound slowly decaying.

It's a recording of over 100 people watching a football match (poland-greece @ uefa euro 2012). Recorded in a medium-sized hall. You can hear the sport live commentary broadcasted from television, people expressing their emotions with their voices. Clapping their hands, cheering their team (poland) and generally making a lot of interesting noises as they watch the game. Recorded with zoom h2 in 2-channel surround mode. Originally 24-bit wav, normalized and converted to 24-bit flac with audacity. I have reduced the mic gain at 0:56 to ensure i will not have a clipped recording. I didn't edit the result to let you cut-out whatever you may need.

For those curious, here are the steps. * i took the file into reaper, and slowed the file's playback rate to 31% of the original. * i then duplicated the file three times, for a total of 4 tracks. * track 1 (lowish gas-burner sound):- reverb (drum-room impulse response, a medium-sounding reverb with a slight deadness to it. In free impulse loader reverberate le, stretched impulse to 150% and set attack time to 0. 218s). - eq (-8db bandpass near 200hz, rising back to 0 by the 1k mark. Low-pass applied at 5. 8khz). * track 2 (lowest of sounds, like a bassy gas-burner):- chorus effect. That's it. (specifically acon digital multiply, a free plugin, set to the "romantic" preset). * track 3 (not as low as track 2, but closer to track 2 than 1)- reverb (a large hall impulse response. On March 11, 2018, the Marine Band presented a Living History program titled Marine Corps Women’s Reserve Band Tribute. The program told the story of the talented and adventurous women who served our country in a most unique and unprecedented manner. Author of the book Bands of Sisters: U.S. Women’s Military Bands During World War II, Dr. Jill Sullivan served as a guide through the personal accounts of those very women who blazed a trail for many to follow. The Marine Corps Women’s Reserve Band of Camp Lejeune was established under the watch of 'The President’s Own' to support bond drives and was active during World War II from 1943–45. In 1944, the ensemble even sat in for one of the Marine Band’s popular 'Dream Hour' broadcasts, a program that will be reenacted in its entirety as part of this concert. The performance took place in Schlesinger Concert Hall at Northern Virginia Community College in Alexandria, Va. Conducted by Capt. Michelle A. Rakers.

Stereo ambience of people passing by at the kulturforum in berlin. This is a large open concrete space next to the berlin philharmonic hall. It's a warm summer evening and the berlin philharmonics have just finished an open air concert. The recording starts about 15 minutes after the end of the concert while everyone is leaving the place, maybe about 1000-1500 people. The crowd is generally in a happy and talkative mood. There are lots of international folks and tourists, so you'll not only hear german, but also english and lots of other languages. After six minutes or so there is also a police siren in the background. Recorded with a zoom h6 (xy mics).
