I hold a carbonated can to my microphone and open it in two motions, one to release the pressure, and the other to open the hole the rest of the way. This was a 12oz (355ml) standard soda can (specifically moxie) held in my hand a few inches from the mic, with some slight ambient humming removed in audacity afterward.

Washed out metal clashes carried by a beating pulse; pitched metal sounds drowned in reverb, lfo with sample and hold modulation, tense atmospheric drone. Created with mother 32 and 2hp play + happy nerding fx aid, recorded on zoomh6, no post processing.

This is a sound of a pepsi bottle being opened. I guess the strange skin-twisting sounds was the skin on the hands that where holding the bottle and the bottle-cap while twisting. This made for an amazing futuristic machinery sound.

An all-american expression of incredulity. It can be used to express genuine surprise, or better yet, with a touch of sarcasm. "we need to put a hold on this check till it clears. " well, no shit. I note that it is easily edited to produce a very convincing "oh shit" which i have put into practical use on occasion.

I needed a sound of someone falling down some stairs, so i grabbed a pelican case (took the camera out of it of course) and dropped it down the stairs a few times while my mate was holding a zoom recorder at the bottom. At one point the case hit my friend in the leg, but don't worry, he is ok.

An mp3 recording of a blood-curdling scream which slightly reverberates. Made by me screaming into the piano while holding down the pedal, which makes the notes vibrate in tune with the voice. The scream is a little weird because i couldn't do it very realistically. :-) recorded with a black sony digital ic voice recorder.

Opened tracks and added new stereo track using audacity, generated brownian noise with. 9 amplitude and applied equalization effect removing all frequencies below 30hz and above 80hz to -120db, applied bass and treble effect increasing output volume 5db, applied limiter effect using soft limit and limit to -5db with a 20ms hold to remove spikes.

Drinking water, gulping. Recorded with iphone 6, using the app samplewiz. I recorded this as i drank the water holding phone to neck. The app lets you save the sample and email it to yourself. Its saves the sound file as an aifc. I then brought it into adobe audition cs6 to edit. Recorded on 11/3/2015 in boston ma. Usa.

I have an old toy called a zube tube which is a cardboard tube with a plastic cup in each end and a long spring stretched between the cups. When you shake the tube it makes the weirdest sounds! in this recording i am holding and shaking the tube vertically. You can hear the spring oscillating.

Did you ever happen to wonder down a dark and dusty hallway only to suddenly be caught off guard by a strange sound that could very well be a witch wanting to put you into her magic potion?. No. . . ?. Well, that's what i needed this sound for anyway, so i recorded it with my phone and edited it into my audio book. :).

This is a sound to emulate cracks on a wall as they happen or rocks falling off a cave or earthquake aftermath. Simply by holding my olympus ws600 against a lamp with beeds and crumbling hard plastic on the other then i uploaded the file to audicity and added the gverb effect to make it sound from a short distance and converted the file to mono as well :).

This sound have been recorded in mono, on a samsung s8, using the recording app ''audiorec''. I have used izotope rx 6 to remove any unwanted noise. This is the sound of an industrial elevator. The ones that you have to press and hold until you have reach your desired floor. *this sound is completely free to use without any need of giving credits(if desired). *.

In this sound track, someone is handling a bag of crisps with strong intent on making rumple noises. The motion is holding and folding the bag of crisps. The sounds has a metallic quality to it, the motion is done at random. Useful for sample slicing. It is recorded with a simple tie microphone and then edited on audacity to reduce noise and isolate the sound.

For the recording, i used the tree-ear method, holding the microphones on either side of a tree, which results in a very wide stereo field (considering the capsules are omni). It was recorded in my backyard on a winter day which was actually more like a spring day.

File i recorded while at work on a telephone pole. I found a span of the steel cable they string between the poles that hold phone lines or cable lines. But this was just the bare span and nothing touching it. If you hit them with a wrench they make weird laser gun sounds. Recorded with my phone and cleaned up a bit in audacity. Use as you please. I recorded my voice while watching and listening to sad stuff to force real crying out of me. This way i can have real crying clips for stock instead of trying to fake it. I am honestly surprised that i wasn't crying harder. I think i was trying to hold myself back for fear a neighbor would think something was actually wrong. Oh, and i know my crying is ugly, please don't make fun of it.

Searched everywhere for this sound and was astonished not to find it. Very basic slap of the bare palm over the opening of an empty glass bottle, while holding the bottle in the other hand. A peculiar local brand of fruit juice sold in small plastic bags with a straw will sometimes vibrate violently when sipped, producing this deep groaning sound. I've yet to discover what exactly causes this to happen. When trying to record it i experimented with straw positioning, sipping strength, holding angle of the pack, and couldn't get it to consistently rumble. This may be a marketing conspiracy to get audio people to stock up on juice to master how to perform the packaging. Recorded with sony pcm-d100, edited and denoised in izotope rx 7.
