Submarine alarm from uss enterprise. Siren type, steadily ascending in tone to a very high-pitched note.

Light rain falling on a hard surface with increasing intensity. Variety of natural cracks and rolls.

Typewriter roller being pushed back into place and spun. Slight ring. Could be used for a variety of effects.

An antique underwood no. 11 typewriter, ca. 1925. Sound was recorded on a zoom h4 in a sound booth. However, it didn't have a bell or a platen, so the key is hitting the platen of another typewriter from the 1970s. Audio cleaned up in audacity. Recording of a tiny, hand-cranked music box mechanism. Recorded through a heil pr20, through an audient id4, directly into audition.

About 40 seconds from the very end of a wind-up music box's cycle, so the notes are quite slow and the gears are at their most audible.

About 15 seconds from a music-box right after winding it up all the way, so the notes are faster and a bit crisper then in my other samples. The melody is somewhat blurred due to the item's age, but it sounds like silent night.

Very old rocking chair, originally inherited from my grandmother, creaking as i rock in it.

This is a piece i put together using maestro for android. It took me about 90 minutes to do. If you haven't heard of this app, you need to take a look at it if you are a musician. The voices are pretty good in the free version (which i used for this), but i've read that the premium voices are better. Still, some of the free ones are really good. Use this piece as you want, but i would appreciate credit for it if you're going to post the work you do. Please leave comments on anything i've done here.
