W train approaches elevated station in astoria nyc on a cold winter night. Doors open, people leave, ambient quiet of the city, doors close, train departs. Slightly less intense than the n train recording.

Sitting in a small cabin in the woods of north carolina, the sound of ice particles (sleet) hitting a stove-pipe can be heard. It's cold. It's bleak. The power has just cut off. A recording of strong north winds gusting through a neighborhood. You'll hear leaves ratttling, the flapping of a big tarp, dogs in the background far away, and, one of my favorites, wind chimes. The jingling wind chimes really get going towards the end of the recording. Occassionally a loud car drives by. A recording of a series of northwest wind gusts blowing through the bare december branches. A wind-chime adds some color, as well as a far-off train towards the end of the recording. Recording made on december 17th, 2014 with the zoom h4n recorder and using its internal, built-in stereo microphones with the record volume set on 82.

Crunching ice used a dr-05 on my deck.

This sound is created with two sounds that i recorded at the university. First, the sound of the huge door to out, then the lighter (which helps to feel the cold around) and the sound of someone smoking a cigarette. First of all, i cut the two fragment,from two different track, that i wanted for my mix. After, i first worked on the door sound. After i reduced noises, because all seemed better after noises reduced ! i made the same thing for the other sound, the lighter and smoker one. Then i ad the last one at the end of the first one, mix a little bit to make the two sounds seemed natural together. After, i normalized the track. At the end, i saved and export my track !.
