Recorded this in a private yacht club, you can hear some water lapping which can be cleaned quite easily with an expander but i've chose to keep it for flexibility.

A sound of an umbrella handle expanding and retracting, making clicking sounds. Great for foley and sound design. Recorded with a tascam tm-80 in a non sound proofed room, without an anti-pop filter. The umbrella was fairly close from the mic during recording. The post-processing was minor, just an eq to cut out some of the superfluous low frequencies. This is a variation of a hyper-popular wilhelm scream. Since it's 2017 outside, using wilhelm causes everything turn to a comedy. This one sounds fuller, richer, up-to-date. Quiet urban residential area in tokyo at about 2 am in the late summer (october, i think). You can hear far off traffic, some night insects and a drunk guy who came to close to my hidden mics to take a whiz. Excluding the peeing guy, quiet parts are perfect for looping (for ambient background sounds in video or audio works). The peeing guy might actually be useful, so i didn't cut it out. Faithfully recorded with a stereo mic pair placed at a 90 degree angle. The left-right balance was adjusted and the stereo field was expanded later to fix the lopsided sided flatness of the original recording. Other than that, the recording is unprocessed.

I recorded this in my living room with mics in an x-pattern on the couch very close together, using a tascam dr-70d and behringer dyynamic microphones with patch cables for optimal volume. I recorded this at maximum gain on the tascam as two stereo files, then conjoined them to a 6-channel audio file properly and mixed the front two channels to a monaural center channel for added effect. The final result is what can be downloaded here. Tghe music in the background is part of the star trek: generations expanded complete score, and is coming from my computer to the rear of the recording, which lasts just over a minute in length, and the music was just background noise for testing purposes only. This was recorded during a harsh storm here i stockholm. Harsh winds blowing thru a small forest. Details such as leaves rustling and hard stormy winds are key components in this recording. It sounds like a storm is approaching what do you think?. I honestly don't remember what i did in post. . . I think i removed alot of bass/rumble, added an expander to remove some unwanted noise to help the winds and leaves to stand out. I probably used rx to clean up some unwanted noises. Equipment:zoom h5 + sony ecm 6080s condenser mic. This was a test to see how the stereo configuration on the ecm 6080s sounded like. I really like it but i would prefer an ab configuration with 2 dpa 2011 or even 2 4060. . . I like the sound it was able to capture even if it may be a little to "centered". I probably will try to use it for my future hiking trips to capture rivers and general ambiances, if i get something special i will upload them here. Hope you like it.
