An edited version of freesound #162268 by eneaszthe intervals between the dog running are removed. It came out surprisingly well. No skipping or clipping or any of that whatsoever. As this is the very second sound effect i've ever uploaded, i could benefit from feedback. Another recording of one of my favorite fall soundscapes featuring cottonwood leaves "shimmering", the lonely call of a blue jay and the soft sound of insects singing a little more quiet than they do in the warmer temps of summer. Recorded using my zoom h4-n recorder, and the famous sm57 microphone.

A recording done in late october of several years ago featuring the crisp sound of the leaves of a giant cottonwood tree being brushed by fall breezes. The sound of a lonely blue-jay really adds to this soundscape. Recorder used: handy zoom h4-n with internal microphones.

This is a recording i made on sunday november 4th 2012 of the gentle, droning sounds of insects that were singing in a marshy area near the shore of a small lake. This is a very typical ambiance of autumn in the southern portion of illinois. If you listen carefully, you'll hear another very typical fall sound, the cry of blue jays in the heavy woods which surround this lake. One of my favorite sound-scapes. I made this with my rugged and dependable handy zoom h4n recorder, using its built-in microphones. I literaly had it sitting on a small log only about 15 feet from the water's edge. Because the insects were not very loud, i did have to crank up my record volume to 86 on the scale of 100; this means you will hear a little bit of slight wind rumble, but all-in-all i think the recording paints a good picture of the early autumn landscape and everything slows down and winds down for the bitter winter ahead. Enjoy.

Accidentally dropped my glasses in the middle of recording. Tascam dr-05x placed above doorway in narrow hallway, gain set at 80, distance of impact from recorder is about 8 feet.

Some guys across the alley were throwing things out the window this morning, which woke me up and ticked me off. Instead of yelling at them, i put up my mic and recorded the impacts. This is the raw audio from the recording (only mono, sorry, didn't have time to set up two mics). Some really nice impacts and other hidden goodies in here. Later i may take some cuts out of it and put them up. Mic: rode nt1-aposition: from window c. 30 feet away.
