I ran the original recordings through s-layer, the sample-mangling plugin from twisted tools, shaping them into short, sharp, and punchy impulses. These might be useful for some unusual ui sound design, or perhaps some gloopy weapon sounds!.

This is a recording i made of a child's toy that had dead batteries in it. The sample playback rate was slowed by the drain of the amplifier. Strange sound i made with garageband.

I came across my son's old wind up crib mobile and decided to put the mics on it. The song plays 9 times, then runs out of spring tension on the 10th pass.

Original drum sample recorded straight from an original vintage yamaha psr-36 digital synthetizer from 1988. Best quality you can find online. Also, some samples aren't half bad. Use creatively and add some fx's. No eq or fx. Just some denoising.

One of a series of heavily processed sounds i made using a small squeeze toy that just happens to be shaped like a cob of corn. I used s-layer, the sample-mangling plugin from twisted tools, to combine these swishy sounds with various other metallic and synthetic sounds from my own library. The results are dynamic and surprising, and might be useful for certain kinds of unusual ui sound design.

There is a small amount of background noise. Seemingly unnecessary period of silence included is the exact cause before the next outburst of squeaking. This is a stereo recording of an afternoon in our house.

A toy bought for our golden retriever. It's a plush with a closed ball inside it. Inside the ball there is a speaker and a spinning motor that which makes the toy bounce. The motor being noisy, i locked it for the recording. Recorded with olympus ls-p4 onboard microphones.
