A morning thunder shower. A single truck drives by near the end.

I don't know what kind this was, but several red-headed woodpeckers appear at my feeder. I got just one series without background traffic noise. If you want to repeat it for effect, each series came 46 seconds apart. Probably how long it took him to eat the bugs he turned up.

All i did was cleaned up the annoying ringing noise heard throughout the old version, removed some light hiss and reversed the music to go both forwards and backwards.

This is a field recording i did on the morning (around 5-6 am) of may 20, 2020 in tenney park, madison wisconsin. It is a 2 minute recording of a bird colony. A bird expert told me they were probably purple martins, and there is a redwing blackbird chirping in the background. Recorded with shotgun microphone.

There are both harmonic and enharmonic sounds here. The bin as a wonderful resonance and a lot of low end. This is a mono recording through a sennheiser 416 and an rme pre-amp. Enjoy!.

It’s a mix the 80s gated reverb and the fisher k10 stereo (gated), this is an experiment that i did combining a thicker reverb with low frequency, with an impulse response from a 60s spring reverb unit, which brings a movement nice in the mix.

A stark soundscape of the icy wind swooshing through dry oak leaves on the edge of a midwestern lake. Plus, as an added bonus, from out of nowhere two fast-moving canada geese come storming through at only about 25 feet from where i was standing!. I was very lucky because they are so close that at some point during this recording, you can actually hear the sound of the wind being pummeled by the beating of the geese's very large, strong wings. Equipment: sound devices mixpre-6 and sennheiser mkh 416 inside a blimp. Recorded on monday december 28 2020 around 1:30 in the afternoon. Outside temp was 37 degrees and the wind was blowing steady at 10 to 15 miles an hour.

The giant 1000 liter wine tank at red maple vineyard in the hudson valley - west park, ny. This sounds amazing for "old vocals"a very springy plate tank reverb. Complex and colorful. Recorded with a zoom h1 n. This is similar to rain-on-veranda-roof-and-window-glass. Wav except instead of recording on the window sill, the device is hand-held aloft in the middle of the veranda and closer to the ceiling. The rain on roof sound is louder and less rain can be heard striking the glass windows. It's a typical intense winter rain storm with wind gusts and driving rain in the month of january on vancouver island.

A beautiful, ancient sound of a small creek flowing in a heavy midwestern forestafter a late autumn day of rain. (recorded on sunday november 30th, 2019)this particular " scene " is the result of a 2 inch deep flow of water suddenly dropping over several medium-sized old rocks. In a few days, this flow will cease and the creek-bed will revert back to its typical, meandering , dry rocky path through the woods. Enjoy. A recording of, to me at least, is the symbolic sound of the later summer woods, when the blue jays become more vocal. These beautiful birds stay here in southern illinois all year long, and are a welcome flash of color and blue crest once autumn begins arriving. Now, i have always thought this call of the blue jay is not the prettiest or melodic at all; in fact, hearing the call of a blue jay can be a bit unnerving. . . But, to me, it is symbolic of the " wild " ness of nature. . . One of my most melancholy nature sound. . .
