I decided to record a short clip of myself walking on a hard wood floor while wearing tennis shoes. My footsteps are a tad uneven - due to a medical condition and resulting surgeries, one of my legs is slightly longer than the other.
Walking around a small wood-floored room with heavy boots. Recorded with a akg c414 b-uls for the oxford theatre guild's production of a government inspector, 2012.
More walking on metal stairs in a reverberant concrete stairwell. Slower than the first one, with more variety of movement. Recorded with: sanken cs-1e, fostex fr2le.
The sound of an adult man clicking together his heels, wizard of oz style. Varying speeds. He is wearing dress shoes. Sorry about the other noise; this was the last take of a three-day shoot and we're very excited to have finally wrapped. Enjoy!.
Walking on a cement floor. Recorded on a sunny day in brazil. Recorded with a rode ntg2, on a zoom h4n. Daw used: adobe audition. Audio in 48khz, 24bits.
An old hard drive booting up and being shut off with a very noisy fan. I recorded it very close to the source. Could be used for rickety spacecraft or diy science project sounds.
