I created a much longer file hoping to get a simple meow. He doesn't do those.

When no one is sitting on him, my tomcat sleeps peacefully. This is what he sounds like.

The cat may not sleep on the table.

Willy is a smallish tomcat who will never be completely healthy. Rescued as a kitten with a respiratory infection, nothing has ever made him all-better. But he is super-lovable. His purrs are tiny like the rest of him. Greatly amplified.

So the guy never liked cats, and as a result, the cat never liked the guy. I think they've worked it out. Unmodified file.
