It is a recording made with the following instrument´s: 1. Pianito toy model n88e / hk-6015c from china; 2. A steren brand microphone, steren amateur model, was used; 3. The recording was done using the pure data adc code, and the necessary code to make a sampler with [tabwrite ~]; 4. The recording was made with the audio interface provided by the tb-03 monophonic synthesizer and with the arduor 5 digital audio station; the processing instruments used to perform equalization, mixing and mastering, the so-called “eq arduor team” and “compressor arduor team” virtual instruments.

I decided to tinker around on an old kid's practice first act piano. There are metal rods inside that are struck, and produce a plink/ringing sound. It is also out of tune, which makes it wonderful for producing an eerie feeling when played in a minor key.

This lovely little toy piano has been a member of my parent’s home since before i can remember. These days it falls under the jurisdiction of my 4-year old niece, who was ever so kind as to allow me to record it!. It has a fabulous tinkling and out-of-tune carnival sort of sound, and i wanted to capture that before the piano was destroyed altogether. I have editing the original recordings and built a kontakt instrument with them, available for free on my website at www. Framingnoise. Com. I honestly don't know if the static sound (activated with two body contacts) is classified as "white" or "pink" noise, but i really like the sound of it! a plethora of crunchy, crispy, noisy snippets to transform into a drum kit or something like that!.

A little scary sumthin' sumthin' i made in garageband for a thing called victors crypt. It starts with a steady drumbeat before the main melody comes in, played on a kid piano. For some reason toy instruments are the spookiest. Woohaa!i put some chords in a lot of reverb between that repeating melody. Think it would suit perfect to anything dark, eerie, adventurous, creepy, big, suspense or anything you can imagine. Feel free to use it as long as you give me the credit for it/write me as composer.
