Bass clarinet processed sample.

A peculiar local brand of fruit juice sold in small plastic bags with a straw will sometimes vibrate violently when sipped, producing this deep groaning sound. I've yet to discover what exactly causes this to happen. When trying to record it i experimented with straw positioning, sipping strength, holding angle of the pack, and couldn't get it to consistently rumble. This may be a marketing conspiracy to get audio people to stock up on juice to master how to perform the packaging. Recorded with sony pcm-d100, edited and denoised in izotope rx 7.

A small bassline created with my new rocktile ebass. I used the (free) safe plugins compressor and equalizer by semanticaudio for the effect part. I used audacity to merge the parts. Recorded with wavosaur. There are small pops at the transition from no fx to fx and at the end of the fx part, just cut them away with some audio software. I didn't listen to it before uploading. Snippets from recordings of me playing the tanpura. Tuned to e flat, the notes from top to bottom are b flat, e flat, c, low e flat. In traditional indian tuning the root note in the scale is referred to as sa and is e flat in this scale the fifth note (b flat in this scale) is referred to as pa and the sixth note (c) is dha. I noticed that my first pack of tanpura samples has a bit of fuzzy white noise so in this pack i have equalized - i reduced all the very high frequencies which got rid of most of the white noise without affecting the low frequency sounds of the tanpura itself. Please note this is the tanpura part of an instrument called the swar sangam which combines the swarmandal (indian harp) and the tanpura, it is not a traditional tanpura and does sound slightly different.
