Some synth sound i made maybe about a year ago. With actually a really simple soft synth, the fl studio wasp xt. Just got that synth to a certain pleasing setting, then put an lfo high pass and flange and the right amount of distortion. Enjoy.

Incorrect rendered and untreated noisy stereo loop, unintentionally done with an amiga emulator (uae for windows). Extremely dirty and distorted sound. The unrecognizable source was the title song of "speedball 2: brutal deluxe" (developed by "the bitmap brothers", music by "nation 12"). The error was was most likely either caused by wrong sound emulation settings or buffer underruns. Left channel is mostly white noise, while the right one is more like a hard industrial beat. Electro-magnetic interference from a desktop computer, and an at&t; cordless phone handset cl82301 when held near the internal ferrite antenna on the back right of a 13-year-old boombox listening to the am broadcast band. Recorded 2 years ago so i forget where i was listening. Recorded with goldwave from line-in. You hear emi from the computer at first, then i bring the phone on standby near the radio and you hear a series of nearly pure tones. The phone comes on and you hear a distorted dial tone. I move the phone away from the radio for a few seconds and you hear the computer again, then i bring the phone near and you hear a distorted busy signal. I disconnect and the phone continues sending to the base for a few seconds so you just hear a hum, then the idle tones are heard, then the computer noise as i remove the phone.

Simple type of chord progression, low gain type of distortion with a mild flange effect. Probably good for a break or intro but could be used for more if broken up. Changes tempo and tone near the end into something completely different.

This started out as a really long jam session with synplant and a ton of randomized lfos and midi generators. I then resampled a snippet from it, drenched it in fx, threw ableton's resonator on it, then slapped on a utility that makes resonator play chords, which were generated from splash pro's ai keyboard.

Made this with the fm synth in caustic 3. Just hit record & started turning knobs. Even though its almost a simple synth, it definetly has enough for endless possiblities. // its a 3 iscilator synth w/ a few fm settings.

Made by slowing down the speed of "nature ambiance",editing the pitch, and mixing it with a recording of aair conditioner, which was also edited. This sound, like everything i upload here,is completely free for anyone to use. I hope it is useful. 🎶.

A kick drum produced for moody trance project. Production process: sound generated from kick synth; signal splitted in two bands; high band signal filtered, distorted and panned (this gives nice roughness and makes kick sound pretty good with center panned bassline); low band signal equalized with some re-verb; both bands mixed back together.

This is a really simple beat is based off the beat from a remix of "happiness in slavery" by nine inch nails. I used all my own sounds though. The snare was created by filtering white noise, and adding distortion, then adding an acoustic snare sound over it. Really good for heavy industrial songs.

A sound for a science fiction background or for a trance/electronic track. It is a slowed down, distorted recording of a high-speed machine with other rackets inside. Recorded on zoom h2 on highest settings for wav files. (chirping sound heard on freesound disappears on full downloaded version. ).

This was a recording i made on a zoom h2 of a cat's purr, ran thru several filters until i had what i wanted, a repeating, ordered, police like siren underwater. This is the first sound in a new pack called "in reality". This new pack was made to showcase the sounds made for stuff like music loops before they are distorted. This one is the original recording (with most static removed) of ceramic_crash. I simply hit a small ceramic bowl with a teaspoon 2 times.

While outputting a file of sound effects, i ended up with a severely corrupted file. Playback results include incessant shrieking and slight pitch alterations. To create more variety, i used a lowpass filter and long reverb.

This is something i made with audacity using the generate>risset drum option. After i generated one long risset drum, i made a short one below it, copied it & added a delay to the track with the short decay risset drum. After that, i just leveled everything a couple times. :).

This use to be a song i was trying to write. . . I failed miserably at the song but played around with some ambiance i created by accident and turned it into a piece or sound design instead. Good for a scene change in a horror film i suppose.

Think maybe a sabbath type of riff, low gain distortion but enough of an edge to call it thick/heavy. Probably better split into a smaller segment. Number 95 – flange harmonics g to d – harmonic noise which you could probably use smaller pieces of to signal an alarm/warning type of sound.

Recorded with zoom h2 to 96 khz / 24-bit wav, encoded to flac with audacity. There's some background noise and touching sounds, possibly useful as foley. The initial pressure jet is distorted, so you'd need to clean it up a bit or use for special effects instead. Enjoy!.

A short and simple tapping riff. All guitar tracks were recorded with an ibanez rg7321 plugged directly into an m-audio fast track pro. I used cubase as my daw and plugins by tse audio and lepou for overdrive and amp simulation, respectively, some stock cubase plugins (eq, compression, delay, etc. ) and some drum hits were added using superior drummer.

This time a more abstract sound clip which in that case was prerecorded (bell 1) altered to the extend and used from mono back to eight channel ending up l+r. Although its abstract atmosphere the modular effects rings on a specific structure using 20th century harmony "rules" and of course tempo. Enjoy!.

This is a bass kick i made with a nice crunchy toned delay. It started life as a mono bass kick off my 808 drum machine, i converted it to stereo then inverted the right channel, i distorted it and processed it with 100% envelope to really boost the front end punch. It's c2 pitch for convenience.

This is my replica of classical tom's screaming in the tom and jerry series. The sound is edited in a way that it sounds distorted and clipped like it was back in the days when someone screamed into the microphone. Yes, this is intentional. (consider it being vintage :d).
