I've created an fx on voltage modular to filter and delay samples; i've used it on a sample (foley kick) that i downloaded on sounds. Com.

Sample made in sfxr with layered sawtooth waves in harmony and sliding highpass and lowpass filters, then used as a note in sfozando to create an uneasy melody.

Cptnal's comment on muffwiggler was an big aha moment. He wrote "you could patch the output of one s&h into the input of the next and get yourself a 12-step shift register. " well i don't have 12 s/h. I have 10. . . I would need a lot of sequenced gates to build that shift register. . . In this patch i use 4 s/h. (s/h or s&h is sample and hold. ).

Its just an effect i made with some grainy sample and filtering alongside some reverb / delay. Its 88khz 24bit wav.

Created using lmms and its triple-oscillator plugin, and lfo automation used on the formant filter (new in lmms 0. 4. 13).

I was trying to make some fx you can hear in enigma’s tracks (for example ‘the eyes of truth’). Made with audition. P. S. Maybe it’d be a better sound if you listen to a downloaded file.

A simple square wave, done with chirp generator in audacity. Starts at 200hz then slides until 30hz. Bass booster and phaser added. Then enveloppe manualy modified (enveloppe tool) + fade out processing for the end of the tail. Then normalized.

I start with a standard reese, next i add a low-pass filter with some attack and a high resonance. Good for drum&bass tracks.

Processed alto sax sound - approx. C5 w/filter stepping.

Used a mini mod filter and tuned it up slowly so you can cut out the wanted pitch, switch daw to 120bpm to cut it preciselyenjoy.

I play a little sequence made with cvlfo , clock divider, attenuverter, quantiziser. The way i usually do…. But the interesting thing is the cvad (?) voltage controllable envelope generator. But in the case of alm pip slope you just control attack and decay. Seems to be enough. As in the other versions of this sound i connect one lfo to attack and a second lfo to decay. But this time i connect the vcad to control the frequency of a filter. Interesting. I wish i had two more cvlfos… should open up for rhythmical usage. I use no vca or adsr. I have connected the vco straight to the vcf and the vcf to mixer. In the beginning i have the frequency pot at 2 a clock then i gradually move it clock wise and let the vcad take control. 1 minute in the pot is fully clock wise. The vco is playing a sawtooth wave. If you dl and inspect the wave you can see that in the beginning and the end it is a sawtooth wave, but in the middle part the filter affects the wave form.

Acustic guitar fender recorded with some amps from pod hd400 and some philters,eq and gross beat effects. I saved it in - 6 db with a tempo 130bpm.

This time a more abstract sound clip which in that case was prerecorded (bell 1) altered to the extend and used from mono back to eight channel ending up l+r. Although its abstract atmosphere the modular effects rings on a specific structure using 20th century harmony "rules" and of course tempo. Enjoy!.

fluctuating random voltages patch example from doepfer. De/a100_man/a100_patch. Htmi made the patch in vcv-rack. The patch is meant to emulate the "fluctuating random voltages" of the buchla 266 source of uncertainty module. In this patch i use the "fluctuating random voltages" to modulate a filter. The filter is filtering a square wave tuned to a c (or close to a c).
