Walking on a trail in the winter woods. . . Fairly fast pace. I start off walking through leaves, then transition to walking on the gravellyasphalt surface. Since this recording was made in winter in early afternoon, there are no othersounds in the woods but just the steps. Equipment used: zoom h4n recorder, beyerdynamic m58 microphone.

A recording made around 7:30pm at night in mid october of 2012 of leaves skittering across an asphalt street, making that unique, crackly sound. You will also hear a train off in the distance which i think adds to the sound-scape of fall. At 1:51 into the recording a car whooshes buy and with it, a cluster of leaves trailing behind it trying in vain to keep up. . . That's always been a wonderful sound sequence for me to hear. A recording of the creek mühlgraben in the bavarian forest on a trail from the village rettenbach to the peak schopf. Occasional birdsong can be heard, as well as the rustling or falling of leaves in the wind. The recording was taken at an idyllic spot where the small creek flows over pebbles and around rocks. I opened the door and stood in the doorway to record the wind. You hear leaves rustling on the floor and every now and then the wind accidentally gets into the mic as i don't have a wind screen. You hear a little howling as well as some squeeking noise through it.

This sounds was originally supposed to be leaves crunching but when i finished fixing it up, it turned up sounding like i was eating chips. So all you who need the crunching of chips and what seems to be a bit of chewing, this is for you.
