Stereo recording incorporating 2 recordings made simultaneously on the web sdr (software defined radio) in north east pensylvania (fn21mh) at http://k3fef. Com:8901/and the one at raf hackgreen in nantwich in cheshire (io83ra) http://hackgreensdr. Org:8901/i used the filename of one of the recordings for part of this new dual receivers recording mixed in goldwave and time-synched by ear. Left channel is the pensylvania receiver, right channel is the uk receiver. Heard are various stations working or trying to work w1uuu in massachusetts including stations in the dominican republic, argentina, the ukraine, trinidad and tobago, colombia and florida. Some stations are heard better in pa, some better in the uk. Lots of static crashes heard from late spring lightning storms hundreds or thousands of kilometers away from both receivers. You can find over 100 receivers athttp://websdr. Org/most allow you to record, though some have a 15-minute timer.

I stood on the platform at the montrose l station with a sony minidisc and recorded the entire process of a nyc subway train coming and going. An eastern-european musician playing guitar in a paris subway train. I was on my way to downtown paris when this guy started singing for money. I chose to record the scene because i thought this was a typical parisian soundscape, something parisian subway users experiment every day, and a real insight on how this city actually sounds. I happened to be sitting in one of these new line 5 trains. I think theyre audio footprint is much smoother than the old trains. . . Recorded with a zoom h2n in x/y stereo mode.

Zoom h1n recording from this morning's rainstorm in metro detroit. The original recording was from 5:02am to 7:26am, but due to a lot of secondary rain drops splashes hitting the recorder directly when the wind would shift i edited it down to 52 minutes after taking most of the knocks outs when i edited in movavi. Pretty steady rain for most of the track as you hear the hum from the morning commuters in their cars increase in the distant background. You'll hear some birds too throughout the track, mostly starlings i believe.

A complete trip on métro (subway) line 9 of the paris subway system, from the alma-marceau station to the havre-caumartin station. Starts with descent into the métro station and ends climbing up the steps back out at the destination. One train is allowed to pass, at about the 1-minute mark, as we wait on the platform, and an announcement giving the times for the next trains can be heard. The ride on the following train begins at around the 2-minute mark. There are two loud sounds between about 9:10 and 9:20 and some loud low-frequency wind noise at around 10:40 (as we leave the métro station and return outside), so beware. Recording with zoom h4n, originally 96 khz/24 bits, uploaded as mp3 320 kbps because the wav was so big (almost 500 mb).

Here are some recordings of some of my basic woodwork tools. I'll try and get better recordings in the future but i share a workshop and it is rarely quiet enough to get good recordings. All recordings are me working on a piece of 25mm thick walnut timber. Listening back has made me realise that all of these tools need sharpening!! :). Tape being wound out and drawn back in. 01:36 - 03:30milwaukee m12 battery drill. Trigger being pressed, chuck opening and closing and bits being changed. Drilling into timber. Driving screws into the timber and removing them again. 03:32 - 05:14lie nielsen crosscut tenon saw cutting across the grain of the timber. 05:17 - endgeneral purpose wood saw 'ripping' along the grain of the timber. This recording was made using a sound devices mixpre6ii and a stereo pair of fel em172 mics. Low cut on the sd which in basic mode is 80hz (i think). There is no processing to this recording other than to ‘normalize’ the levels. I do not require any credit or attribution. I used audacity to synthesize the five-tone chime made by the montreal metro's jeumont train element 41. Backstory: the train itself was an mr-63 type train modified by canron circa 1971, adding a current chopper to the train's started system. The chopper produced an 'idle' tone at around 45 hz, and as the train departed, five tones at frequencies of 90, 120, 180, 240, and 360 hz. Originally there were 3 'elements' (a set of 2 motor cars and 1 trailer car) with the jeumont-schneider current chopper (element 40, made up of cars 81-579, 80-040, and 81-580; element 41, made up of cars 81-581, 80-041, and 81-582; and element 42, made up of cars 81-583, 80-042, and 81-584). During the early 2000s refurbishments, element 40 was retired from service to provide spare parts for the other elements, which were then connected with elements of 'normal' mr-63 trains. Only the 81-579 car remains from element 40. Element 41 and element 42 were then retired in 2018 when the other mr-63 trains were retired.

Ingresé al jardín botánico en plena hora pico, tan pronto crucé los primeros 20 metros hacia el interior del jardín sentí que escuchaba mejor. Empecé a grabar esperando obtener los bio fonías y las geo fonías. Me engañé, el telón de fondo de ciudad ruidosa siempre estuvo presente en las grabaciones.

Respuesta impulsional de una habitación de mi casa obtenida con el room eq wizard. Tiene unos 9 metros cuadrados, con el techo haciendo pendiente y con las paredes recubiertas de yeso pintado. En una pared lateral hay una ventana (que estaba abierta pero con la persiana bajada) y en la otra hay una puerta que da a otra habitación que también estaba abierta.
