I have a metal container that is used to collect coins. Its lid is on a hinge and when this lid is hit it bounces, making progressively quieter noises each bounce. Fun stuff. Recorded with a boss br864 digital studio and a shure mic.

Timpano, 71 cm diameter, tuned approximately to g. Several hits, from very soft to very loud. Played with a yarn mallet, directly in the center of the drum head. Samples are a little 'cleaned up' (noise reduction, silence removed, etc. ) but otherwise unprocessed.

This is a long sample of me hitting, scratching and rolling all sorts of stones against one another, somewhere in the moroccan desert. The sounds are pretty good quality, recorded with a sony pcm-d50.

I used ableton's:. - grain delay (spray: 80ms, frequ: 43 hz, rndpitch: 3. 19, fdb: 65, wet: 70%)- compressor with very slow release as kind of an amp-follower- carefully adjusted gate with 111ms release- very short simpledelay- overdrive- short reverb. This is percussion in an empty swimming pool in essen, germany. The empty pool gives it a natural 3-time delay. Recorded with a grundig tape-recorder about 1987. Today (in 2018) the swimming-pool is filled up with sand and is part of a beach-bar.

A low-pitched ringing sound made via a high-pitched asian bell with a clear ringing tone, struck with a wooden dowel, the audio then subjected to a sequence of pitch-changes downward, each combined with a flanger-type effect at various settings for rate, depth and regeneration.

An assembled drumloop, made out of free oneshot samples and a free vst plugin. The snare has a nice added resonance to it that makes it bang hard and appear quite acoustic for what it is.
