It plays a nice "left" and "right" to determine the channels. Then it plays back white noise first in both channels, then one at a time. Then the same with sine sweeps. Then short impulses.

An outdoor recording (although it sounds otherwise) of an idling train engine. Includes electric spark-like clicking and a slightly muffled alarm. Not a subway car or an electric powered locomotive or trolley, but the clicks are similar to that produced by an arc welder.

Digital noise made from raw binary files extracted from hdd with hexplorer using raw import function in audacity. Files were 4, each made from 200 sectors. I modified each sound using filters and joined them together to make longer looping example. Good to use in a game or 3d video animation as background ambient noise. Audacity and hexplorer are freeware and you can make similar job with them. . .

I'm trying to get some character to my modular sounds. This is a sequence with a sawtooth wave mixed with noise and joined in a vca that can distort a little. It's a vca i bought used. Don't think a new vca of the same sort distortes. I really like that. I little reverb is added to the sound. The sound is analog until it reaches the reverb. Sometime i will buy a spring reverb. Promise. But here, on the internet, the sound is digital anyway.

Alienxxx and i had a little private dare. This is how it sounds when i have mixed the two resulting files. I made a schematic sketch on a simple modular patch. All info was this sketch. Basically i connected one lfo to the polivoks in. Now when i think of it. Wonder if that added something…. And how much. And to cv1 i connected a square wave and to cv2 a wide frequency sine wave. Resonance at max. Think i have to reanalyse this patch later… i’ll be back!.

Another room acoustic ambiance recording. Connected my little modular to a guitar amp (orange crush 12l). Some overdrive added character to the sound and the simple patch. Placed my phone 2,5meters from the speaker and recorded. No post editing! not even amplification.
