After searching the web for a decent open/close wooden door sfx i decided i would record my own for my school project. But why stop there? why not share on the web, i asked myself. So here it is! used an edirol 24 bit 96khz. Wav/. Mp3 recorder.

Notes as an arpeggio derived from the chord cadd9b5 fed through a glass viper synth at 120 bpm using a panning notch filter on a soundfile that has been reversed cross faded into the original soundfile stretched to its maximum. I made this using two oscillators in native instrument's fm8 synth. There is nothing too fancy, just two sine waves played out the same output, but one has an offset of 440hz, and the second oscillator has an offset of 330hz. I then just played two notes that didn't sound too dissonant, and then ran it through some low-fi processing.

After clicking on pause, this sound persists in the headphones. . . Don't know why. . . But it sounds interesting.
