A helicopter slowly passing my house on a sunday morning while i was recording sound.

An insect i'm pretty sure was a bee was curious about a newspaper so i dropped my zoom h1n nearby and it took an interest. A fairly loud bird was chirping nearby.

This is a sound walk in a suburb residential area during the middle of the day with a light breeze, and extremely loud birds in a tree above. There is a soft sound of a peaceful walk.

This is a recreation of a sound walk that i did. I mimicked the sounds i heard in real life using sounds that i found on this website.

A gigantic flock of crows (corvus corone), at least 100 birds, circling right over our house at lubeck, germany. Hasty recording, therefore some rumbling at some points, but a nice clear recording nonetheless as they circled very near. Recorded on zoom h2.

By now the neo-tropical warblers and other migrants are gone. Leaving the woodpeckers and blue jays and crows. A reflective ambiance of a now dry swamp, slowing down awaiting the arrival of full-on autumn, then winter. You hear the wind sifting through the branches of the oaks, and hickories and maples, the chattering of woodpeckers, and, since this is the time of year of the harvest, you hear the often dropping of acorns, and hickory nuts, and pieces of hickory nuts and acorns, as the squirrels 30 feet above the swamp get sloppy with their lunch. A summer morning field recording at newport lakes reserve, a former bluestone quarry and rubbish tip in the western melbourne suburb of newport. The area is now a vast suburban park with a native nursery and twin human-made lakes, popular with many species of birds and people. This recording was made using a sony pcm-m10 recorder's built-in omnidirectional stereo microphones. It was taken on january 15 2011 at 8. 30am, on unceded boon wurrung land, part of the eastern kulin nations. I acknowledge the sovereignty of the traditional owners and pay my respects to their elders and all first nations people.
