I recorded this with my yamaha pocketrak. It's a piece of wood i carved tied to a string and swung around overhead to make the sound. Please comment on what you will use it for. :^).

This recording was taken at camp eureka, which is at yarra junction in victoria. It wasn't recorded in the bush, but there are plenty of trees at the camp and the bush is nearby. The recording is mostly birdsong. It was taken in the middle of the day during autumn. It was recorded using the built in microphones of a zoom h5 portable recorder.

Zoomh4n blowfly flying around at the front door - some minor back ground noises and bumps. Not a fully clean recording but nice effect.

Recorded at hope st radio, a bar/restaurant/radio station at collingwood yards, during the tail end of a disorganising community dinner. In this recording, about 80 people are learning or playing mah jong while the restaurant kitchen closes service and the sound system is off. There are adults and a few small children in the room and too many djs (common problem here). It was recorded on a sony pcm-d50's internal stereo microphones at 120°, mounted to a tripod while everyone drank the last of the free natty wine. #natural #wine #salomons. This recording was taken in may 2021 on unceded wurundjeri land, which belongs to the woi wurrung people of the eastern kulin nations. I acknowledge their sovereignty and pay my respects to their elders and all first nations people.

It was a small gathering of around a dozen people, there was no countdown, in fact midnight crept up on us! in the far distance you can hear fireworks in castlemaine a small town about 15 km away. The roost is next to the bellingen river in on of the last remaining patches of low altitude rainforest in the region. Recorded using tascam pro dat with akg ck 98 shotgun microphone with p12-48 pre-amp, also known as akg se300b.
