Someone a ways over from us was firing a rifle. It really echos off the hills and forest. Recorded with my yamaha pocketrak and edited on sony vegas. My headphone jack quit on my computer so i'm hoping it's up to snuff. Please comment on what you may use it for. Thanks. :^).

I love the crackle as the shot breaks the sound barrier. Could be slowed down to make it sound like a larger weapon, or maybe even used as an impulse response. Explosion sound created using a zoom h1 and tempering with metal fibers near the mic capsules. Added verb and pop compression for better flexibility. Sinusoidal sound (440 hz) with melt opens, echo and cross fade in.

I generate 2 tracks. For the former, i have generated a wave whistle sinusoid, log on interpolating 3 seconds. Then i add silences and i put the echo effect. On the second track, i generated an a in 3 seconds, then i added the wah-wah effects, cross fade in and out. Finally, i deleted the sound on the 2 tracks.

Added some echo at the end and looped one cymbal.
