I was mucking about with a new mic when i started playing around with audacity and came up with this. I don't know what it sounds like, but it sounds kind of spacey so i named it spaceship. This was made with my voice and audacity.

This is a compilation of spaceship cockpit noises i created for a sci-fi themed game project. Since some of the sounds weren't used in the game, i've uploaded these for everyone to use for free. All the sounds were created with native instruments' massive synthesizer and several field recordings. You can find and download other sounds from the project in the pack.

I recorded my voice, layed it out on the track and increased the pitch quite drastically. I layered this with a chirp track so as to contrast the downward rhythm with an upward one. A spaceship sound that is moving thru the space, you can imagine the air filters pushing air thru the vents, the ships hull cracking as it moves thru the deep space.

The sound is brown noise mixed with the sound of a two engined prop airplaneand made seamless.

This sound may be little long, but it took the crew on enterprise that time to fix a minor problem with the warp engine.

Basically a spaceship hyperdrive/warp drive engine or whatever. Includes spin-up, engine drone, and spin-down. Feel free to loop/extend the engine drone portion for as long as needed (it's completely loopable). I got hold of an old sony dat machine (tcd-d10 pro) and noticed a very interesting sound when i opened the door to the cassette compartment. The sound was recorded with an olympus ls-14 and was slightly edited in wavosaur.

A long metal spring was glued onto a cardboard tube, and when whirled, it makes a very strange but interesting sound. A zoom h6 recorder was used with the shotgun/pistol mic.
