Decided to test my ability in creating sounds and samples. I recorded my own crap-tastic voice and tuned it via melodyne (highly recommend the program btw). Then threw on some simple reverb and created my own chorus effect as well and placed it on there. Hope you guys enjoy.

Recorded in a subway station, with an iphone 6, 10 ft away. This guy plays at various stations, namely bedford ave and union square (nyc). He's got a very lively playing style and is always a joy to listen to. I want to get better recording equipment for next time.

This is a test recording of my brand new rode shotgun microphone. I connected it to my sony recorder and did this recording. It sounds amazing for being the price that it was. This microphone was originally designed to be used with cameras, but i am using it as a handheld microphone. Hope you enjoy. Stereo recording (decoded stereo from a core sound tetramic recording. B-format version also on freesound) sounds are kind of whooshy, very non-present. Very good for non-distinct urban-city bg's. Really useful in helping cover dialog ambient shifts. At :21 two guys on bikes with a boombox pass - one of the weirdest sounding things i've recorded.

Monastiraki square, athens, greece. A group of 6 young guys from africa start a street drumming-and-dancing show, when they are approached by a group of romani girls (in a flirting mood, in my view). Their meeting evolves in a multi-cultural rhythm/vocal/dancing jam session. Sound recorded by giorgos samantas with a a pair of handmade binaural microphones mounted on an edirol r-09rh.

I opened a water valve that squeeks a lot. The hose it fed lives inside a large open air garage and i sprayed the concrete with it. I did short bursts and also let it trickle out after i turned the hose off. Curious what you guys do with this sound! please comment :).

My headset was plugged in into internal audio device, capture level sets to maximum and used command:arecord -c2 -f cd -d 10 internalaudiodevicenoise. Wav. Yes, guys, it's linux! :-). So pretty noise generated by very cheap device!as you can see from the console command, audiofile have the next format: signed 16 bit little endian, rate 44100 hz, stereo, duration 10 seconds.

A czech guy named "staney the robot man" who lives in prague build this little synth. It's completely handmade and consists of a bunch of analog circuitry that when powered creates strange oscillations in current. It's also built into a seseame street toy saxophone. This set sounds like a robot talking. If chopped up and sequenced you could do a lot with it.
