A simple generated error bugged sound.

A lone cricket appeared in my room, so i decided to record it before letting it out. Small chirping for about a minute. There is a light amount of background noise, since i decided not to do noise reduction myself and just leave it raw, since i didn't want to distort the cricket sound.

The sound of ~200 ladybugs crawling around in a mesh bag, mic'd as closely as possible. Enjoy. . . Or don't. All my sounds are fully free to use, but please consider leaving a comment to let me know how you'll be using them. Just curious! :).

A large gas weed torch burning for several seconds. Could make a good flamethrower sound. Recorded: august 2014, with android voice recorder (mono), outdoors/backyard in the afternoon.

Coming hair: you can hear the typical crunch of tangled hair being combed out. You can hear the hairbrush gliding through the hair. It varies in tempo and rhythm to add realism to this sound. As she struggles with the knots it is slow but picks up tempo as her hair becomes less tangled. Recorded with the zoom h6, rode ntg in a recording studio. Great for any make-over montage or scene.

Brushing hair with a hairbrush.

A fly buzzing around. The thumps are the fly bumping into the wall and a lampshade. This file is dry, so there's some low-frequency garbage from my holding the mic and following the fly. A high pass at around 200hz fixes that. Feel free to use this for whatever you want. 100% public domain.

Foley for erratic insect wing flapping, could be used for any other quick-flapping wing sound effect.

Just a recording of a bug in my room. Some cricket or grasshopper which got in. Curious as i am, my ears guided me towards it. :-).

This is a short file recorded in the ne suburban area of mpls. , mn. It is what the pond in our back yard sounds like after dark in may. Recorded with the built in mics of a marantz pmd660 at a distance of 30 yards from my deck.

Recording of a single cricket which found its way into the bottom of a stairwell. The surrounding walls are cemented giving a prominent reverb. The recorder (zoom h2) was placed about six inches away from the cricket.

I had left my recorder near the woods for a 20 minute recording of the natual sounds. When i reviewed the file i found the attached sound where a flying insect had buzzed the microphone.
