What is this sound?.

Sound made with the tongue.

This is my wind entry for the competition. It's derived from some recorded voice and putting a microphone in various containers while the wind was blowing. I was able to get some interesting sounds from this, then i used some mutation effects, convolution, and phase vocoding to combine the voice and the wind sounds into this short piece.

Stereo recording of water running. Recorded on an electret microphone. Has been processed and filtered. All elements have a ying\yang property in that they can destroy or aid life,so my samples are mediating the difference between them.

Stereo recording of wind. Recorded on an electret microphone on hi-md. Has been processed. I took a section of wind that represented a heart-pulse since its a vital element to carry oxygen. The sample has been slowed down over time!!.

Sound of the brappp snowmobile in the woods.

This is a combination of plastic crackling, paper ripping and crumbling, sticks cracking and twisting, matches lighting, and a gas stove. All of which are moderately eqed and mixed in protools, but nothing is heavily processed. What is left is the illusion of a building fire.

This is my competition entry for earth. It is comprised of copies of a kick drum recording and a high hat recording i've done with some phase vocoder processing. This short sound is really about 7 tracks of layered audio.

This is a mix i've done for the march contest. It uses a few short water recordings i made in my apartment which i convolved, mutated, phase vocoded, and time stretched in sound hack.

This record is done near court yard at russia where children plays. Summertime. Cars are passing by, sometimes frogs are croaking in the pond near by, and once helicopter flies past pretty low. We hear a person swimming in an indoor swimming pool in a gym in granollers. Escoltem una persona nedant a una piscina coberta d'un gimnàs de granollers.

This sound was recorded onthe seafront of gandia's beach. We can hear the wind, the waves, some cars, people. . .

Base recording same as other gilera file, but this is with more ambience and deeper sound, this is roughly what you would hear standing close next to it.

Adapted from a shaking water bottle, this could be a low, far-away rumbling machine.

My first ever field sound recording, made with diy mic and sony mz-n707 md, sp mode, mic gain set to "low". Tommorow will make some more :). Gilera runner sp50, 50 ccm 2-stroke scooter, with removed factory speed-limiters (some of them are in the exhaust). Mic was positioned maybe and inch above exhaust. At the begining automatic choke is engaged, hence the high idle revs. .
