Recording out of my open bedroom window the first afternoon in september 2020. You can hear some faint traffic noice, a distant river and waterfall, and the crickets playing in the raspberry. Recorded at 32bit 48khz float with a zoom h6 recorder, and a røde nt4 stereo microphone, mounted in a rycote windshield ae blimp.

Walking on an old dirt road on a summer night, i stopped to record the sound of the bushcrickets. That being the case, i am privileged, and i hereby share my good fortune with this community in the form of a recording of that hallowed insect's chirping. Over a minute and twenty seconds of nothing but crickets chirping in their terrarium. They were making so much noise during an audio recording, i had to capture their racket as well. Recorded on a windows x8 phone and cleaned up in audacity. If you use it, shout-outs welcome: production-now. Com.

Chirping crickets.

This is my first submission to the site. I've recently been exploring sound design a little bit more and thought i would provide something. Here is 15 minutes of ambient sound recorded around 5 am on october 10th, 2011. I used a shure sm58 microphone through a native instruments audio 8 dj interface. Without a microphone amplifier or my active microphone ready to use i ended up amplifying this about 52 db then removed the extraneous noise by 80% @ 40 db using the noise reduction plug-in in adobe audition cs5. 5. Finally, saving the result to wav @ 44,100 hz, 16-bit.

This is the sound of a solo cricket chirping outside my bedroom window at around 4:10 am ht. I recorded it with my lenovo laptop's built-in microphone.

Two dogs are barking in my front yard, with the longest-barking one being a 3-years-old fox terrier chihuahua mix with whom i have an attachment to but who isn't my dog. You can also hear crickets chirping in the background. I used my lenovo laptop's built-in microphone to record this (the same device i had used to record the alarm clock sound & the restaurant-cleanup field recording).
