Ambiguous beat pattern produced with a heavily cross-modulated sample and hold patch on the studiofactory/synfactory soft synth.

Bass drum pattern (hit also) : a suspense pattern bass drum with tape echo. Resembles, very faintly, a heartbeat without the echo. Synthesized using the "synth bass drum" module in kong in propellerheads reason.

A straightforward pattern made in the lmms daw, i used the analog bell preset with a delayed, pitched-down arpeggio of sorts. Over time, the tempo increases, from about 50 bpm in the beginning, to 150 bpm in the end.

A random 4/4 pattern in c major created by a child building with lego blocks and then transposed to musescore and exported as an mp3 file.

Recorded a short drum and bass loops at 120-bpm using ableton live 9. 4 notes per bar played on bass in this order: a1 f1 c2 g1. This recording is designed for a mid-range frequency instrument, like a guitar, over the loop. There i was late a night. I was turning my computer off after editing my site. I was silenced by night. But there was a storm a brewin' i opened my bedroom window and put my ear to the icy wind. I knew then this wasn't the usual mellow wind. I ran down the stair with my zoom h4n equipped, went through the garage into the black of night. I sent my gain levels to 60 and with only a foam wind shield i put it between to to boards of wood to act as a wind shield thus allowing my to capture the wind slicing through the trees. With only adjusting the gain levels slightly in post nothing else been done, allow you to add you own effect on it.

This is a rather simple one, compared with 002, the sounds are more subtle and less punchy. The bass drum is much significant compared to 001.

The mitosis pack is a pack generally founded on just 1 beat pattern, the most common dance drum pattern found in techno music and trance. This pack uses the single pattern and expands upon it through various sounds that make the pattern sound different. 001 is the basis of all. Reaktor - arobic was used to mainly create this loop.

1 looping envelope and 2 vclfos in a dance. I think its harder for this combination to find a nice pattern - equilibrium. It happens sometimes. Maybe the mixture between positive and negative cv confuses the modules. Makes it harder. I start the recording with the looping envelope in non looping mode. After about 19 sec i switch to looping-mode. Records and hope that a pattern should emerge. This time there is a pattern. Yay! not 100% stable but that's perfect!okay, it is harder to recognize patterns when a sequencer is involved.

Lots of strong bass on this set. The bass sound was produced by lowering the frequency to about 20 on reaktor - arobic. Amazingly, it sounds fun.

Maybe this is a bit too loud. The overdrive and the crazy percussion instruments adds a bit too much on this loop. I think it needs to be refined.

The bass melody was produced by applying a modulation to the frequency of the bass. Not much has changed from 003.

This is a variation of the loop: 005 from the mitosis pack. The odd bass sound (or melody) is the result of tweaking too much with the modulation.

Back to a normal loop. This loop contains more noise. . . Though they sound like a rough shaker in the background. The bassdrum is slightly not prevalent.

The mitosis pack contains several loops with melodies. I removed the modulation and let the bass run without changing a pitch for this loop. See also loops 005 and 6.

This one has an extremely thick bass that pulsates crazily. At the same time, it sounds like a low tom sound.

I changed the synthesizer's ranges and played a bit with reaktor's structures until i realized i was playing with the frequency range. The result is a radically different sound that sounds more like a machine.

Back to normal. Nothing really special here excepting the unusual tom sound that seems out of pitch.

Finally, another normal loop. Nothing much again, but the difference is significant.
