A skinny balloon being pumped up using a small pump (similar to a bicycle pump). The sound is wheezy, squeaky, and there are some mechanical clicking components due to the mechanism of the pump. Recorder: olympus digital voice recorder. Microphone: sony ecm-ms907.
Shaking, opening, inhaling, closing, and exhaling of two different kinds of asthma pumps. One pressing down the top part (mdi inhaler) and one turning the bottom part (turbohaler).
Shotgun pumping-sound, made by multible click noises i found through "freesound. Org". I then lined them up after eachother, pitched differently, to get a nice pumping feeling to it. It is edited through fl studio.
Racking the action of an antique pump shotgun. It may have been a winchester knock-off. May require some trimming and buffing. I think i recorded this with an akg perception 200 using cool edit -- and i did it to get my room-mate to leave (after we recorded the sounds of several of his guns and a sword. . . ).
A piece of pump organ improvisation with very little harmonic movement, but much space for the "breathe" of the instrument and the superposition (german schwebung) between the tones, the tones that swing between the tones in different time and tones. Cycling the pump action on a shotgun. The audio is very generic and could even be used for a pistol action cycle. Recorded on a blue yeti microphone through audacity at 16bit 44000hz. Attribution appreciated but not required.
The sound of a restored cast-iron pump, located beside the church in a berkshire village, which is still being used to draw water. We hear the squeaking of the pump and the splashing of the water into a large metal container. Sony psm-10.
A sample of me pumping 8th notes in the key of g (notes used e,g,b,d)on a late 70's ibanez bass. I ran the bass through a pod xt and an old 4track. It was cut from a song i recorded for my solo project "the heirs of rockefeller".
