My bird makes this sound in the morning usually it means sherry wants food, today she was quite hungry. The sound is g# according to audacity. She makes some other sounds but i'm not uploading them just yet.

The basic sound of a clothes dryer tumbling, mostly the deep rumbling of the motor and the thump of the tumbler. There is some sound of the clicking of clothes within the dryer, but not much. Recorded on a sony pcm-m10 recorder with a very old electret condenser microphone.

Recording inside london tube train as doors close.

Opening and closing an old metal hatch in our basement. The hatch is locked by two handles. The first two creaks are the handles being turned, the last creak is the hatch itself. At around 0:10, the hatch is closed again and the two handles are turned to closed position. Recorded using a no-name directional microphone. A complete trip on métro (subway) line 9 of the paris subway system, from the alma-marceau station to the havre-caumartin station. Starts with descent into the métro station and ends climbing up the steps back out at the destination. One train is allowed to pass, at about the 1-minute mark, as we wait on the platform, and an announcement giving the times for the next trains can be heard. The ride on the following train begins at around the 2-minute mark. There are two loud sounds between about 9:10 and 9:20 and some loud low-frequency wind noise at around 10:40 (as we leave the métro station and return outside), so beware. Recording with zoom h4n, originally 96 khz/24 bits, uploaded as mp3 320 kbps because the wav was so big (almost 500 mb).

Inside the madrid subway (metro). Very crowded, a couple of stations travelled. You can hear the recorded announcement over the pa naming the stations. Next stop: mar de cristal. Next stop: campo de las naciones. (próxima estación. . . ).
