I captured this sound on my canon powershot a460 digital camera. It was a horrible night, with strong winds and heavy rain. I went to my garden shed and positioned my camera at the small window inside my shed as there is a small hole in the right hand corner of the window, and through this small hole the wind blows through it making this whistle sound, almost like a flute. This sound of mine is for anyone to use, no credit needed, but it would be nice if you could tell me what your going to use it for, if possible, that would be fun. :) http://creativecommons. Captured during a windstorm. Door opens and swings out and the white noise of the storm is all there is, until the door swings back and thumps closed, then the dead bolt slides lock.

One of a series of sounds i made using a small squeeze toy that just happens to be shaped like a cob of corn. I felt like the expulsion of air made a nice swishy ui sound. Recorded with a rode nt1 into a universal audio arrow.

I composed this out of feeling and added the background violin after. I like the keychange in it. I'm a producer but wasn't really sure what to do with it after so i uploaded it here. Recorded 5/20/11 at 10:43am on a bright sunny day in washington. Many crows were flying overhead and i recorded them on my ipod. The sounds in the background is not wind (although it sounds like it), but are cars slowly driving by about 100 yards away. The crows were directly above.

In the sketchy neighborhood near the warehouse a piece of crap supertuner import hot rod, driven by a guy in a neon yellow shirt and white wraparound sunglasses, revs its engine as it passes.

It was a very cold and windy day when i visited the mile high swinging bridge at the top of grandfather mountain. Unfortunately, i did not have a windscreen, so there is a bit of noise in the recording of the "singing" bridge. The reason i say "singing" is that the high winds were blowing through the 228-foot long suspension bridge bars making a haunting sort of song. It is considered the highest suspension footbridge in north america at just over a mile high.

This is a sound i created to replicate what it sounds like to be inside on a very cold windy night ;). Recorded with sony hdr-pj260v then edited with audacity.

One of a series of heavily processed sounds i made using a small squeeze toy that just happens to be shaped like a cob of corn. I used s-layer, the sample-mangling plugin from twisted tools, to combine these swishy sounds with various other metallic and synthetic sounds from my own library. The results are dynamic and surprising, and might be useful for certain kinds of unusual ui sound design.
