I made this recording when visiting india in 2019. Next to the street there was a fleamarket with vendors playing pre recorded advertisements for their products. You also hear people chatting, motorcycles passing by and chlidren laughing.

Captured at the brand-new castletown branch of sainsbury's. Another of those mindless public safety announcements played at either end of a moving walkway. This time, members of the public are asked to be prepared to get their trolley off the walkway. In surveying the scene, it occurred to me that there was also no other choice! one could, i suppose, deliberately come to a screeching halt immediately after disembarking and my late mother-in-law would have been somebody who did just that! so, i suppose there's some point this after all!.

Taken at the delta airlines terminal at los angeles international airport. I used a tascam dr-07 mkii recorder. It was approximately 12pm and i was seated in the waiting area indoors. To my right but also behind me were the boarding gates for the airplanes. I used wavepad for osx to boost the volume.

A fast train is going to pass yelahanka train junktion. It is blowing the horn to make space on the rails and to warn people not to walk to close or to cross the track. A sci-fi sound i made by heavily processing an extremely fast drumloop in fl studio. The kick sample i used is royalty free, created by markus hakala, and obtained from howtomakeelectronicmusic. Com.

This is a completely custom kick i made from scratch using a drum synthesizer and also mixed and edited with a waves puigtech eq modeled after the famous pultec eq and a waves puigchild compressor modeled after the famous $30,000 fairchild compressor. The sample rate is 24 bit/48k and a headroom of -6 or 3db i cant quite remember but nonetheless more than under clipping. In-cabin recording of a qatar airways boeing 787 dreamliner landing at doha international airport (qatar), followed by announcements in arabic and english. The aircraft touches down at 0:47, the english in-flight arrival announcement is broadcast at 3:44, and there is a bounty of ambient noise including seatbelts clicking, bags zipping, and chatter from passengers. This was recorded in-person from my seat with a tascam dr-40. I was located mid-section (just behind the wings) in an aisle seat.
