I cannot remember what kind of motor i recorded, as i did this recording in 2013. Its recorded with a h4n somewhere in the city centre of london (uk) and i used it previously for car sounds.

We needed some blade runner style opening for a production so i came up with this 1 min piece that has that kind of feel (vangelis, tron legacy). It was written with dimension pro. This is my wind entry for the competition. It's derived from some recorded voice and putting a microphone in various containers while the wind was blowing. I was able to get some interesting sounds from this, then i used some mutation effects, convolution, and phase vocoding to combine the voice and the wind sounds into this short piece.

A sample from a quick flight that i took with a friend on september 8th, 2015. Audio was recorded with a zoom h5. You can hear the engine start, then we idle on the runway for a bit, and you'll hear us make a proper takeoff at about 13:30. After that it generally sounds the same. You'll hear when i crank the level down after takeoff, but you'll be able to easily compensate for it if you're serious about needing sustained flight noise for a small plane. The plane was a 1964 cessna 172e and were flying around vancouver, bc.
