The sound of the bottom of a ceramic mug, dragged over the metal grating of a coffee machine. It sounds like a sword drawn from a scabbard. Recorded using a zoom h6 in the kitchen. Applied a filter to remove unwanted low and very high frequencies. Also corrected the volume level to adjust all four recordings to the exact same level. There are some minor distracting noises - i assume from my shirt while moving the mug over the surface. Also a fan is very faintly audible in the background. If you are interested in a very clean recording of this sound, please let me know.

A passing motorcycle on the freeway. Fade-in/out added to reduce wind and traffic noise. Slight low-mid attenuation to compensate for filtering caused by the freeway sound-barrier. In-cabin recording of a qatar airways boeing 787 dreamliner taking off, followed by in-flight announcements in arabic and english. The aircraft applies thrust for take-off at 0:28 and leaves the ground at 1:16. At 3:08 the english in-flight announcement is broadcast. This was recorded in-person from my seat with a tascam dr-40. I was located mid-section (just behind the wings) in an aisle seat. Public domain: i have released this audio file into the public domain.
