Stereo field recording of the trubarjeva cesta in ljubljana/slovenia. It is a fine early summer evening and lots of tourists and locals are underway. The recorder is located at a busy intersection with lots of pedestrian and motor traffic. Around 2 mins into the recording, a motor scooter noisily passes by the recorder. A high-quality recording of a quiet day on the steps in front of the st. Ursen cathedral in solothurn, switzerland. You can hear the two fountains which build the background sound. Also, there are tourists and swiss people walking nearby and talking. The sound was recorded in 24bit on a professional zoom recorder with the xyh-5 stereo microphone. For postprocessing, only unwanted noises were cut from the recording and the overall sound level was raised.

Rear channels of a 4ch-surround recording of the interior atmo of a small airbus passenger airliner (a lufthansa flight from london heathrow to berlin tegel). In the onset, you hear the steady drone of the jets, people talking, coughing, sneezing, newspapers rustling and notebook computers being typed on. Now and then, passengers and stewardesses pass by the aisle. Near the end, a signal bell sounds, and the drone of the jets takes on a perceivably higher tone, shortly after which the landing in berlin is announced, first in german, then in english. Recorded with a zoom h2, the mics (rear) set to 120° dispersion.

Here are the audience bits from a jazz concert i recorded using an olympus field recorder. The auditorium was intimate and acoustically excellent. In the first section if applause you will here a mild rumble. There was a standing ovation, and that's what that rumble is. I also included some quiet bits of the band on stage getting ready for a song, and some subtle crowd walla as well. There is plenty to play with if you need to loop. You may here some bits of the mc or sax player in the background near the end, but nothing you can't work around if you need to. There was some sort of running event going on, so you can hear the footsteps of lots of runners and the crowds cheering them on.
