Four thunder claps from a line of storms that passed through owensboro in western ky dec 10 2021. Recorded with a rode ntg4+ and sony pcm-d50 at 96khz and 16bit depth. Sorry but i did not edit the clipping - which is not really that bad.

Two distinct claps of thunder. The third clap was a once in a lifetime capture as the lightning can be distinctly heard as it splits the nearby air. I recorded this in flat rock north carolina atop pinnacle mountain. I've geotagged the location.

Thunderstorm.

Rode nt4 placed centered and perpendicular to an outside window, fed into an maudio delta1010lt. Slight clipping on the larger thunder claps, had the input slightly too high. This is a sample of about an hours worth of recordings i got on this storm. Heavy rain and the lightning got so bad later i had to shut off my computer. 3am couldnt sleep.

And also the wind blows a little disturbingly into the mic. . . Anyway, the recording turned out better than expected. Feel free to use it for whatever u could need it for. . . . I needed a hard impact noise and created this one. It's made with a 909 crash cymbal. I've put a few effects on it to create this sound. I hope someone can use this sound for a project some day.

I saw this huge storm brewing, so i put my laptop next to an open window, thinking that i might record a nice atmospheric recording of rain and light thunder, and i caught this thing, no more than 500m away. I had the sensitivity turned all the way up, and the microphone i am using isn't the best, but someone might get a use of it :).
