Found this air vent on a location shoot. The vent was making a strange chirping noise. . . Like an alien cricket. Recorded with a tascam dr680 and sennheiser mkh-416.
Electronic bass loop extracted from an ableton project that i chose to discontinue. I used robpapen blue to create the sound and some effects like saturation for processing. Lowcut below 35hz.

I accidentally came up with this sound when i was remixing one of my favorite songs on audacity. It sounds like a whole bunch of computer software and techy stuff sparking, beeping and crackling. Would be great for a movie introduction if it was overlayed with soundtrack. Just some recording of a dried, brittle chili pepper with little seeds inside - up way way close to the mic (a zoom h2n). Some suggested sound design use cases: run this through granular fx for a nice drone texture. Use as an impulse response for a convolution reverb (then run tones through the convolution). Use as a trigger in vcv rack, allowing it's peaks to fire off samples or synth pulses. Or just use it plain within your next experimental acousmatic piece hit single.
