I created this sound with additive synthesis ,using different eg`s and five different sounds for low ,middle and high harmonics. The pluck noise is a filtered noise at the resonance frequency of 523 hz.

This is a mix up one note piano rhythm and chords for strings. Feel free to use!.

This is a single guitar string plucked with a pick directly at the headstock, that means between the tuners and the nut. There the string is very short and tight, resulting in a high, almost piano-like tone. Also, since there is no sound box, the tone is rather quiet. I used this for a sampler and i liked the sound of it. This is the raw recording. If you want to use it in a sampler too, i recommend adding some eq, reverb and maybe some delay. It is not perfectly in tune though, the closest note is a#. You might tweak the tuning a little bit when using it in combination with other tuned instruments. Recorded about every sound you can get off a chinese guzheng, tuned in d pentatonic. Recorded with blue spark and blue bluebird condenser mics through a scarlett 6i6 interface. No credits necessary but i'd like to hear what you use it in!.

Took a violin bow to a chinese guzheng and the results were pretty great. Good for ambience, drones and creepy stuff. Recorded with blue spark and blue bluebird condenser mics through a scarlett 6i6 interface. Uncut with a small glue compressor to minimize spikes.
