A strong rainshower hitting an awning, with the gentle "shhhhhh. . . . " of the rain falling on the new, fresh green, pliable leaves of a sugar maple. Some good thunder as well in this recording. Recording made in april of 2017 at 6:00pm in the midwest. Gear used: sound devices 702 with audio technica bp4025 stereo microphone. Enjoy.

Rolling thunder ligth rain.

Early morning, crossing the bay of biscay in a force ten gale, the whole cabin (high up in the ship) creates a symphony of sounds. Engine noise in the background, plus a cacophony of different stresses on the woodwork and fittings of the cabin.

Downpour of rain during the monsoon season in phoenix, arizona. Rain hitting blacktop. Nearly a minute in length and you can hear the rain begin to slacken a little ways into the recording. Recorded with the only thing i had on hand, my phone; an lg v30.

Rain sounds from outside the house.

Big lightning happening in my hometown the evening of may 24th 2020. Went outside with a tascam dr-05 handheld recorded to try and get some thunderclaps, but unfortunately the rain and lightning were more prevalent than the thunder. Here and there i comment to myself about a particularly big flash, hoping it results in a big boom, but there aren't as many booms as i was hoping to capture in the time i had the recorder switched on.

Rain recorded in a small cotttage with different samples in each side of the track. Tip: increase or attenuate the frequencies around 1k to have a stronger or a very soft rain.

My first upload to freesound is a thunderstorm recorded in gateshead, uk, next to our open bathroom window. Some lovely thunderclaps and rain. Recorded on a zoom h5. There are also some household sounds swimming around in the background, doors closing, dishes clinking etc; i think you can hear the radio or something very faintly towards the end -- but there's plenty of clean usable thunder and rain in there. Incidentally i often use this type of thing in my long-form instrumental music, produced under the name conelrad. I have a podcast of album-length instrumental music which comes out every other week, called conelcast. Check it out wherever you get podcasts or at conelrad. Co. Rain gently falling in the woods, recorded 2017 oct 19, fitzwilliam, new hampshire, usa, with a tascam dr-40's built-in mics. Increases and decreases in intensity. Can be looped. I have not altered or colored the sound in any way, leaving that to anyone who cares to use it.

Finally rain after a hot dry july 2018. 10 mins rain with 3 large thunder claps. Not recorded as loud as i should have, it was dark. I used an h4n through an open window.
