I was recording wind that blows in my window, but the zoom h2 placed on a (cheap) mic stand after some time started to bend itself downwards. It hit the curtain/drape in my window and rubbed itself against it until reached the lowest position - the mic stands arm stopped gently as it started. This produced a very interesting sound that i totally didn't expect to find on the recording. Edited with audacity.

The wind was so strong, that i had a fear that one of the branches of the pines could snap and fall on me. The recording is a 32bit float, 48khz ms-stereo one, made with a sennheiser mkh 416, and ambient ate 308 emesser figure of eight, in a røde blimp with fur cover. I was amazed that the blimp did its job this good in this strong wind.

A recording of strong spring wind gusts through a stand of mature, tall white pines in a midwest forest. I used my handy zoom h4n recorder, and i used my rode nt2 shotgun microphone, cable-tied to a sapling. No kidding, i forgot my sturdy tripod, so i improvised using some bungee cords that i carry with me, tied the shotgun to a sapling and this is what i recorded.

You can hear some birds singing ans some people talking. In the background you can hear the typical sound of a city. A car is passing.
