A rainy day in south east georgia - usa - with birds chirping in the background. Recorded with a tascam dr-05 and set to 48000hz and 24bit stereo. Rendered this clip off in the same uncompressed settings via wavepad without further editing. Virtually a raw unedited file.
Sounds like rain. Made from crumpling tin foil. Should loop seamlessly. Boosting some of the lower frequencies (around 80 - 100 hz) should add some thunder for you.

It's winter and january in temperate rain forest country on vancouver island. The canvas awning is lowered above the hot tub and rain pounds away on the awning. You can hear each rain drop hit the canvas. Recorded with a zoom h1n.
Sharp rain sound on canvas awning over concrete stairwell, with some low rumbles from wind flapping the canvas. Recorded with microphones tucked behind ears for fairly good binaural effect.
