The title is pretty self explanatory. There's a little bit of wind noise. ---two primo em172 mic capsules > zoom h1. I made this recording with my newly acquired $10 primo em172 omni mic capsules, which i soldered to a cable diy loosely based on this tutorial:http://www. Wildmountainechoes. Com/equipment/diy-stereo-electret-mics-primo-em-172-capsules/this is a good example of what the capsules sound like when plugged directly into an inexpensive zoom h1 audio recorder. So far i've been pretty stunned by the performance of these capsules, which are significantly more sensitive than the built in microphones on the h1, and to my ears sound much less muddy. I'm particularly impressed by this because the capsules are running on the 2. 5v of plug-in power that the h1 delivers, which is below the minimum specs of the capsules. Even so there is remarkably little noise. I can only imagine how they would sound with a battery pack to deliver a full 5 volts!.

This recording features, what many would say is the most gorgeous bird-song in the midwest---the flute-like wood-thrush. Recording made in july in deep forst; a plane is lazily droning overhead, and the ever-present chorus of summer insects is heard. Made with zoom h4n using the internal microphones.

Autumn is here and, to me, one of the most soothing of fall sounds is the wind blowing through the leaves of one of my favorite cottonwood tress, along with the lazy, nap-inducing sound of a propeller-driven plane slowly floating through robin-egg blue skies. This recording may sound a bit raw, because of the wind, but, i think it is nice to listen to. This was recorded using my handy zoom h4-n recorder and the microphone that i used is my trusty rode ntg-2 shotgun microphone.

A short sound effect, a buzzing lightsaber scifi noise for creators.

If you stand just underneath a commercial airplane as it's coming in to land (as was the case here at dfw airport) and so long as there's not a lot of noise around you (like loud traffic, etc. ) then when the jet passes overhead, what you can't see is that at the tips of the wings are rapidly spinning vortices of air that coil off the wingtips as the plane passes through air. These long, coiling spirals of air will eventually "close" and as that happens, it creates a momentary but bizarre, surreal sound that you really need to hear for yourself in person to get the full effect. This was the best i could capture on august 15th, 2022. Enjoy!.

Carpenters and other workmen are heard more or less throughout. Cars and trucks pass by frequently; trucks beeping as they back up are also heard. On many days i take a two mile walk from my house to my job. One gorgeous day i took my zoom h1 and sampled audio at various points during this walk. To avoid footsteps, i recorded each location standing still. In this file i gradually crossfade between the different locations. The walk begins on a suburban street, goes past a park where children are playing baseball, then a busy intersection, then a factory with open windows. A couple planes can be heard overhead. The last thing in the recording is the door of my job opening. ----recorded with internal microphones of a zoom h1.
